The diode laser
In some cases it may be necessary to trim or re-shape the gum or other soft tissues. This may be for aesthetic reasons or due to gum disease. The diode laser can do this without the need for scalpel surgery.
The results are immediate, with minimal bleeding.
Intra oral camera
This fantastic piece of equipment allows us to view areas within your mouth using magnification. It also allows you to see exactly what we see.
This tool is great for us to show you areas of concern or help you to understand the necessity for some recommended treatments.
OPG
We provide OPG digital images on site. An OPG (orthopantomograph) image is taken from outside the mouth. It gives a detailed picture of both upper and lower jaws on the one image. It is a simple test that gives the dentist information about the teeth, teeth roots, jaw bones and joints. It is done for most patients that require periodontal, surgical or extensive dental treatment. Yes, they are xrays but as they are digital they are such a small dose as to be almost nothing.
In-chair entertainment
Sometimes a dental appointment can take some time. Knowing this, we can provide you with in-chair entertainment. You can choose to listen to a CD, watch a DVD or even watch your favourite soap opera!
